Feeling overwhelmed? Life can be overwhelming at times especially if you’re not organized. Getting through work, appointments, cooking, and accomplishing everything on your to-do list is tiresome but how do you stay on top of it all? I’ve learned that to get through my day requires some planning and organization. Here’s how;
1. Start writing everything you have to do!
How many times have we taken a memory note of a task that we have to do an end of forgetting about it? Don’t assume you will remember it because chances are you will forget. My go-to is my phone and it has saved me tonnes of times
2. Keep a planner!
After writing everything down on my phone, by the end of the day, I will go to my planner and plan out my week with all of the to-do’s I have to complete. By doing this will give you an idea of your tasks for the week. Every Sunday I grab my herbal tea and start planning my upcoming week.
3. Set reminders and deadlines!
This has made a huge impact on my life. Not only does this help me stay more organized but it allows me to keep a balanced scheduled week where I don’t feel overwhelmed. By setting up reminders, this will make sure you complete all of your tasks.
4. Prioritize! Prioritize! Prioritize!
Identify the tasks that are more important. This will allow you to spend time on the important things by giving it more of your attention and time. I will compile a list of all the to-dos and separate them from urgent to normal tasks. The ones that require more of my time or are slightly difficult I would complete first so I can get them out of the way.
I have learned to stay on top of things and have life be less chaotic. I can’t be the type of person that just wings it and goes with the flow. I have to plan things and stay organized in order to be sane. So, I bring you 4 tricks to stay organized for a smoother day.
