Room for a baby and a D.
Being pregnant, your raging hormones and morning sickness, not forgetting the amount of weight you’re putting on, sex is the last thing on your mind. That’s okay. You’re already planning on the baby who is on the way and you need to do everything to make sure your pregnancy will be as smooth. Moping around and eating your cravings away, won’t do you as much good as having sex will. And here’s why
1. An easier labour and recovery
Having orgasms increases the contractions in your pelvic floor, which help to strengthen the muscles you’ll need for labour and after delivery. And I know that you don’t want to have trouble giving birth. So I suggest you get served with the D from time to time in order for smooth sailing if you know what I mean.
2. Fewer bathroom breaks
You pee now, you pee a few minutes later, you pee seconds later. It’s all pee from here. Even when you sneeze and cough. The bigger your baby grows, the frequency of bathroom breaks will increase. The good news is that the same muscles that you’ll be strengthening for your labour can also help with the flow of urine. So keep having that sex boo. It’s for your own good. Oh, and the babies.
3. Better orgasms
I’m sure you know the truth to this ladies. Now that your bodies nerve endings are sensitive and all, your nipples and clitoris are engorged, and there’s more estrogen drawing blood flow to your pelvis and so the sex you have during your pregnancy period, all I can say is daaaaamn!
4. Stress reduction
You’re already going through so much during your pregnancy. I mean, carrying the baby, to mood swings to hormonal imbalance to just everything. As soon as your baby daddy or whoever sticks his anaconda in you, poof! you’ll be thinking about something completely different I guarantee you all your baby mamas.
5. Preparation for labor
Apparently, semen contains prostaglandins which help ripen the cervix and so this helps your body prepare for labour. Having sex won’t make you go into labour, but it will prepare you for the events leading to your delivery date.
So all you preggo moms out there, it’s time to get your freak on. It’s absolutely healthy for you and your baby. Don’t worry. The D won’t poke your baby’s head either. Take a chill pill mama.
