These famous athletes have been running in the Stanchart marathon for a while and we think it’s time to join them.
Whenever we think of a marathon we think of the hardest part, the running, sweating, the thirst and the whole process seems tiresome. However, one thing we can take from our Kenyan athletes is their sheer determination, their drive and passion for staying fit and being involved in charitable events like the Stanchart marathon. These are some athletes who keep shining in this marathon.
1. Catherine Ndereba
Catherina Ndereba pursued her running in 1994 and since then she has broken many world records. She has also been part of the Stanchart marathon and is also a four-time winner of the Boston Marathon. Ndereba broke the women’s marathon world record in 2001, running 2:18:47 at the Chicago Marathon.
2. Eliud Kipchoge
Eliud has been named the world class marathoner of all times. Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya is currently the undisputed world No.1 over the 26.2-mile distance. He is also expected to take part in the October 2018 Stanchart marathon.
3. Henry Wanyoike
Henry Wanyoike has proven that they prove time and time again that ‘disability is not inability’.They prove time and time again that ‘disability is not inability.’ Henry Wanyoike is also the race ambassador for the Stanchart marathon.
4. Sally Barsosio
When Sally participated in the women 10km Stanchart marathon she completed in 34:28:0.
