We didn’t see that coming.
Joey Muthengi has allegedly quit Citizen TV. All you qualified people should start sending your CVs now. There is a job opening.
Joey apparently quit due to differences with her employers over her gig with Betin. Apparently, the ’10 over 10′ presenter handed in her resignation letter on Wednesday after she discovered she was going to be subjected to disciplinary action.
Really, what’s the issue? Apparently, Royal Media Services (RMS) sees Betin as a competitor and they don’t want their employee working for a competitor. RMS owns betting site Shabiki.com. You now see where the conflict is coming from?
According to Pulse Live, the deal she was given by Betin brought a conflict of interest and to avoid a nasty exchange with her employer she opted to leave. Apparently, she was earning between Sh6 million to Sh8 million from Betin. Wow! That’s a lot. No one would give up that kind of money.
Joey is also scheduled to travel to Italy alongside her Betin co-ambassador McDonald Mariga to shoot more adverts for the betting company. The two are the two main ambassadors. They have worked so well together that there have even been rumors of them dating.
