Great news! Netflix is set to give the former president, Barack Obama his own show.
According to New York Times, Netflix Inc will pay Barack and the former first lady of the US, Michelle Obama to come up with an exclusive series of high profile inspirational shows.
And who wouldn’t want the former president featuring on their platform?
So far, Obama has over 101 million Twitter followers and 55 million people who have liked his Facebook page.
His influence is globally spread that he had to confirm that he will not use his Netflix show to respond to President Trump’s critics.
But, it’s not the first time Barack’s story will be told on screen. In September 2016, Barack and Michelle Obama’s love story was released in a movie dubbed Southside With You and it got a pretty cool 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Last year, Netflix also released the trailer for a film called ‘Barry’ that tells the story of Barack Obama and his time as a student at Columbia University.
Check it out below.
Well, Netflix has refused to respond the matter; however, word on the street is that executives from Apple and Amazon have also expressed interest in talking to Obama about content deals.
Obama’s witty and down to earth personality has made him one of the most popular presidents in the world. We can’t wait to see what he and Michelle have in store for us.
