Yves Rocher weekend makeover with Zumi’s Fashion & Beauty Editor Reina Kimeu.
If you have not heard of the botanical makeup and skincare brand called Yves Rocher, then you must be literally living in the skincare dark ages. Yves Rocher is a French makeup and skincare brand that was created in 1959 by French Entrepreneur Yves Rocher. The brand is known wild wide for its products that are created from natural extracts that are grown, harvested and manufactured in-house. This helps them be in control of the ingredients in their products.
One of the biggest problems we have in Kenya is the fact that there are not many options to chose from when it comes to makeup. Many brands that are being sold in Kenya are not natural and end up clogging our pores and aging us. We are lucky to finally have a brand like Yves Rocher in Kenya that is perfect for women who love natural beauty products.
Here is the night-out makeover by Yves Rocher – Westgate Mall.
The makeup application started off with the lightweight foundation called Pure Light. It is honestly very light! When I wore it at first, it felt watery but it quickly set and what was left was a foundation that did not feel heavy duty. The foundation is perfect for women who want to give their makeup a natural finish. They followed it up with the Zero Default Mattifying Powder to set the makeup and to give my cheeks some color, the Blue rose Coquelicot was used.
(Yes African women can wear blush too!)
What is night out makeup without a splash of color on your eyes?
The products used were the Vertique black eyeliner, the Smoky Eyeshadow Palette. Eyeshadow application is a skill that can be learned by anyone through YouTube tutorials.
My lips were prepped with the Yves Rocher Mattifying Lip Primer which transformed the Grande Rouge 118 red lipstick to a matte red. Who doesn’t love a bold matte lipstick that will last all night long even after sipping from wine glasses?
And the final look was party ready! To prepare you for the night, the Yves Rocher blotting papers are a must have in your clutch bag to remove excess oil from the face without tampering with your makeup.
