The first anniversary of the brand was held on Thursday 1st December 2016, at the popular Privee, in Westlands, Nairobi. The event brought together a mix of naturalists, makeup artists, hair stylist, photographers, bloggers and hair enthusiasts from all over the country.

The event venue was packed and we rubbed shoulders with celebrities like Cece Nagini and Patricia Kihoro who are strong advocates of the natural hair movement and the Marini Naturals brand as well. Other celebrities who were there are: Ian Mbugua, Kaka Sungura, Betty Kyalo amongst others.

The event hosts, Privee were kind enough to treat everyone to prime meat cuts and treated us like royalty. The event was different from most anniversary events because Michelle Ntalami made it personal. She opted to share her journey with all those who attended. She thanked all those who believed in her and her brand and all those who stood by her through thick and thin. Her adorable mother also spoke at the event.

After the event, guests were treated to cake (What is an anniversary without cake?) and everyone went home with a goodie bag that had an anti-tangle comb, hair growth oil / curling butter and a 10% voucher to be used at the Super Cosmetics.
